Applied Mathematics Engineer

The Department of Mathematical Engineering offers a three-year programme to train engineers capable of tackling problems in a rigorous and conceptual manner, using mathematical techniques and tools as well as IT skills. The aim is to train the engineers and leaders of tomorrow in innovation, research, conceptualisation, mathematical modelling, model analysis and the development of IT tools. These engineers, who are independent and highly adaptable, are trained in three main areas: - artificial intelligence and decision support (intelligent systems, optimisation, control, operational research, etc.); - mathematical methods for data science (big data, machine learning, data approximation, imaging, statistics, etc.); - modelling and numerical simulations (deterministic and stochastic modelling, development of computational codes, high-performance computing, EDP, finance, control, probabilities…).
